The clinical laboratories at UM Shore Regional Health process more than one million tests annually. It takes a dedicated team of phlebotomists, specimen processors, client service representatives, histotechnologists, cytotechnologists, clinical/medical laboratory scientists, and pathologists to ensure that tests are collected, processed, analyzed and reported promptly. Patients and providers depend on this team to deliver quick and accurate results.
UM SRH’s laboratories are accredited by the College of American Pathologists, the American Association of Blood Banks, and the State of Maryland/CLIA. The bi-annual inspections ensure that we maintain our high quality labs. Our high quality team makes sure that their hearts and minds go into each test they collect or perform, or phone call they make.
