100 Ways in 100 Days Contest Moves Focus to MRSA Bacteremia

In health care facilities, MRSA can cause severe problems including bloodstream infections, known as MRSA Bacteremia. MRSA is primarily spread by direct contact with an infected wound or from contaminated hands, usually those of health care providers.

MRSA infections can be prevented. SRH makes prevention of MRSA infections a priority by  analyzing relevant data, implementing prevention actions and tracking cases. Health care providers make the difference! Follow recommendations for device and procedure-related infections, treat infections appropriately and rapidly if they do occur, and educate patients about ways to avoid infection and spread, and about the early signs of infection.

Please submit your ideas for prevention suggestions for MRSA bacteremia or any other improvement suggestion to Shore100Ways@umm.edu

For every idea you submit, you’ll be entered into a drawing for SHORE SPIRITWEAR. Thank you for helping us excel at patient safety!
