Congratulations to Shore Regional Health’s first DAISY award-winning nurse – Nicole Coleman, BSN, RN who works in the Easton ICU. Nicole, picture above (second from right) with Jessica Fluharty, Luanne Satchell and Jenny Bowie, was nominated by Fluharty, for the compassionate care Coleman provided to Jessica’s grandmother in the ICU during her last days of life. In her nomination, Fluharty described how Coleman went above and beyond to attend to her family, as well as her grandmother, during this difficult period.
Per the DAISY Award protocol, Coleman received a certificate, daisies, a pin and a “Healer’s Touch” statue. She and her teammates in the ICU were also treated to cinnamon rolls!
