BrightStar Care’s “Spring into Summer Sun-Raiser” event featured hand-made craft items that were auctioned on social media. The Cancer Center’s Pat Shortall Wig Room was one of three beneficiaries of the BrightStar Care fundraiser, receiving a check for $500. According to Christina-Wingate Spence, BrightStar Care’s Regional Director of Marketing and Community Outreach, the fundraiser was especially meaningful to her as her mother benefited greatly from the care provided by Shore Regional’s Cancer Center and utilized the Wig Room during her cancer fight. “It is a great honor to have the opportunity to give back to the Cancer Center, as well as the other organizations, whose share the mission of helping women in our communities,” Wingate-Spence said.
