Nurse Excellence Awards Committee Announces 56 Nominees for 2017


The Nurse Excellence Awards Committee is pleased to announce that a total of 56 nominations were received for this year’s program, 48 for the individual awards — Commitment to Others, Professional Nursing Practice, Leadership, Mentorship and (new this year) Promising Professional — and eight for the unit award, Empirical Outcomes.
Ruth Ann Jones, EdD, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, senior vice president, Patient Care Services and chief nursing officer, says she is delighted to kick off  Nurses Week activities with the Nurse Excellence Awards Celebration to be held May 8, 2017. “This event is a fantastic opportunity to recognize our nurses for nursing excellence and a great tribute to their hard work and commitment to our patients and to Shore Regional Health. I would also like to say thank you to all those who took the time to submit a nomination. The response has been phenomenal,” Jones said.

The Nurse Excellence Awards honor our nurses’ commitment to the Shore Regional Health mission, Creating Healthier Communities Together.”
