ALZHEIMER’S SUPPORT

AUXILIARY EVENTS
Half-Price Sale – Friday, 1/15, Saturday, 1/16 and Monday, 1/18, Robin Hood Shop, 416 High Street, Cambridge. The Martin Luther King, Jr., features half-price items throughout the Shop; sale excludes jewelry case merchandise, Boutique items (yellow tags) and anything under 50 cents.  Operated by the Dorchester General Hospital Auxiliary, the Shop offers gently used men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, fashion accessories and household items. Shop hours are Monday through Friday from 9am to 4pm and Saturdays from 10am to 2pm.  For more information about the Robin Hood Shop or volunteer opportunities, call 410-228-6339. The Robin Hood Shop is operated by the Dorchester General Hospital Auxiliary, which raises funds for University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Dorchester.  All sales conducted by the Dorchester General Hospital Auxiliary are for the benefit of the hospital’s equipment, programs, services and patient care. For shoppers’ convenience, the Robin Hood Shop now accepts credit and debit cards.

Survivors Offering Support (SOS) – Free program pairing women who have breast cancer with mentors who are breast cancer survivors. If you need support or would like to become a mentor, call 410-822-1000, ext. 5866.
Look Good … Feel Better – Monday, 1/18, 10am-12pm, Cancer Center, Easton. Free ACS program for women with cancer includes hair, skin and make-up tips, samples and a visit to the wig room. Contact: 410-822-1000, ext. 5355.

SAFE SITTER ®
Safe Sitter ® Classes/Chestertown & Easton — Saturday, 1/16, 9am-4:30pm, UM SMC at Chestertown Education Center; Saturday, 1/23, 9am-4:30pm, UM SMC at Easton, Health Education Center Rooms A-B. Pediatric nurses teach youth ages 11-13 the basics of babysitting, including the first aid, CPR and more. Cost: $40 (scholarships available). Limited seating, advance registration required.
