Starting January 28, 2019 our voluntary benefits partner, Select Benefits, will have disability counselors on-site to facilitate the application process for a voluntary disability Buy-Up Option. Your employer paid Short-Term Disability income replacement benefit will pay 60% of your salary. The Buy-Up offers you a 25% tax free increase in benefit to help supplement your income. This coverage is fully portable and enrolled with limited medical underwriting for this special enrollment period. Attached is a highlight sheet with a brief description of how the Buy-Up works.
You must meet face-to-face with a Benefit Counselor to take advantage of this opportunity.
