George John, MD, Gastroenterologist, Joins UM Community Medical Group

Dr. George John

University of Maryland Community Medical Group (UM CMG), announces the addition of gastroenterologist George Kunnackal John, MD. Dr. John specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders of the digestive system, which includes the esophagus, gallbladder, stomach, small intestine and colon.

Dr. John received his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from St. John’s Medical College and Hospital in Bangalore, India. He was selected as a Rhodes Scholar in 2010 and went on to earn master’s degrees in Global Health Science and Clinical Medicine Research from the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. He subsequently completed his residency at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and his fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
