Many thank you’s to Shore Home Care staff members Kathleen Wallace, Hillary Coulborne and Sara Lettelleir for the love and care provided to our daughter and us over the the last few years. And thank you for your support during our most difficult days.

I’ve been receiving immunotherapy treatments at a hospital over the Bay Bridge. I had a few infusions and did fine, but after my third treatment I felt worse and worse, then broke out in severe hives. Finally over the weekend I went to the Emergency Department at UM Shore Medical Center at Easton and received really outstanding care from everyone there, especially the nurse practitioner, Justin Smith. They asked all the right questions and they even contacted my oncology doctors to discuss what would be safe and effective treatment for me. I left with a prescription that has really helped and a sense of gratitude that even in a small community hospital, I received really great care from people who have both expertise and compassion.

Earlier in July I went to the Easton ED with severe pain in my left side and back, which they diagnosed and determined was a kidney infection. I was given IV treatment for pain along with super-strong antibiotics. The doctor was a nice young man named Ellis Brennan.
I have to say in all sincerity, every time I’ve needed immediate care (even dating back two and three years ago when I had bronchial infections), the Easton hospital has really been impressive in how quickly they diagnose and address the problem.

At UM Shore Medical Center at Dorchester, the entire staff from nursing to dietary were so kind and pleasant. Each person who came in my room always asked if I needed anything before they left. I liked the communication white board as it stated the month, day and who my nurse and nurse tech was. This is a good hospital and they gave best care I have received.

During my stay in acute care at UM Shore Medical Center at Chestertown, everyone was helpful, pleasant and very professional – I was especially thankful for the dietary service –that even with my very difficult diet (vegan & gluten free), all of my needs were met promptly and cheerfully and the food was delicious!

An outpatient radiation patient at the Cancer Center recently wrote this note to the staff attending to his care:
Can you believe I’m in the home stretch of my treatment? How time flies when you’re having fun, eh? Seriously, I want all of your to know how pleasant the environment you present has been. I actually look forward to  the time of day for my treatment now that I’ve been in the program for a while. Thank you for your kindness and consideration, I can only imagine how difficult it sometimes is to deal with the people under your care.
Much as I love your company, I’m personally dedicated to timely completion of my program. We’ve got until August 16th, so let’s make the most of it. Thank you!!
P.S. Thanks for energizing me!!
