Auxiliary Nursing Grant Applications Now Available

Applications are now available for the Dorchester General Hospital Auxiliary’s Nursing Grant Program.
The Auxiliary established the Nursing Grant Fund in 1978 as a means of assisting qualified persons to obtain nursing education. To be eligible for grant consideration, students must be enrolled in an undergraduate program. Also, if enrolled in a four-year nursing degree program at an accredited college or university, students must have completed one year of the program and have at least a 3.0 grade point average; if enrolled in a three-year program, pre-requisites for the first year of study must have been completed with at least a 3.0 grade point average.
Those interested in being considered for a nursing grant can obtain an application from the Hospitality Shop or the Information Desk at UM Shore Medical Center at Dorchester. All applications AND sealed transcripts (including the 2017 spring semester) must be received by July 29, 2017.
