Mike Copeland, Emergency Management manager, and Radiology managers Kelly Bottomley and Margo Abbas, hosted Queen Anne’s County First Responders (shown above) at UM Shore Medical Pavilion at Queenstown last week. The First Responders were invited to learn more about safety precautions needed in magnetic resonance imaging and get a first-hand look at the facility. Specifically, they learned how to “quench” (turn off) the magnetic field in the event of an emergency.
