Celebrating EVS Week

EVS team members celebrate EVS Week.

UM Shore Regional Health’s EVS Team celebrated Environmental Services (EVS) Week, September 8-14. EVS Week is a time to show appreciation for the dedicated EVS team members that ensure health care facilities are clean, safe places for patients, their families and other team members.

According to Aaron Reddick, Unit Director of EVS, “Our motto is, ‘It takes a team to keep it clean.’ Being a highly reliable organization (HRO) is important, and Environmental Services plays a big part. The EVS team has a very important job: to stop the spread of infection and keep everyone safe. EVS team members connect with multiple principles of an HRO, including Sensitivity to Operations, Reluctance to Simplify, Preoccupation with Failure, Deference to Expertise and Commitment to Resilience and do the right things to keep our patients, their families and our visitors, as well as our other team members, safe each day. I am proud of each and every one of them.”

Thank you to our EVS teams for all their hard work to keep our Shore patients and teams safe, every day!
