It’s time again for the Value Spotlight! In June, we put the Spotlight on Excellence, and we found it all over the System. Across UMMS, 3,442 people were recognized for Excellence. That is impressive!
Help us build a culture of appreciation by recognizing each other when we see our values in action. This month, let’s put the spotlight on Discovery, which is all about curiosity, learning, improvement and innovation. Continuous personal, team and organizational learning create a great work environment and fuel our HRO Journey to Zero Harm.
Remember, this initiative serves a dual purpose:
- To create a special focus on living out a particular value that month, and
- To show appreciation for those who do.
This month, as we spotlight Discovery, let’s all try to embody these principles in our daily work and interactions. Here’s how:
- Live the Values: This month, we invite you to keep Discovery in the front of your mind and actively demonstrate it in your interactions with colleagues and patients.
- Recognize other team members: When you see a colleague displaying Discovery, take the time to recognize them through your organization’s recognition program, and in other ways.
- Share and Celebrate: We encourage you to share stories and examples of how you and your colleagues are embracing Discovery. Let’s celebrate these moments together!
This program is meant to be a celebration of who we are, what we stand for and the incredible impact we can make when we embody our shared values in our work.
