This coming week, January 16-20, all University of Maryland Medical System hospitals are celebrating Spirit Week and the UMMS’ unifying theme, “Be a Part of Something Greater.” Spirit Week is designed to make all team members appreciate the ways in which we are “part of something greater” as we work together to deliver unparalleled, innovative and high-quality health care to the communities we serve.
Here at UM Shore Regional Health, we will celebrate “Spirit Week” with the following activities:
| Monday, January 16 | Name That Leader! Which high school photo belongs to which member of Leadership Forum? Quiz will be e-mailed to all UM SRH staff. Entries will be accepted via e-mail through Friday, 1/20, and in person during UMMS Spirit Day (see below, January 20). Those participants with the most correct answers will be entered in a drawing to win a collection of UM SRH Swag. |
| Tuesday, January 17 | “Part of Something Greater” Quiz Quiz will be emailed to all UM SRH staff. Entries will be accepted via e-mail through Friday, 1/20, and in person during UMMS Spirit Day (see below, January 20. All participants will be entered in a drawing to win a collection of UM SRH Swag. |
| Wednesday, January 18 | Maryland Food Day Visit our hospital cafeterias and indulge in foods that Maryland is best known for. Foods available for purchase will include:

| Thursday, January 19 | Count the UMMS Colors Guess how many UMMS-themed candies are in the jar! The participant guessing the correct number/closest number will win a collection of UM SRH Swag. Should there be more than one correct answer, those participants will be entered into a drawing for the prize. |
| Friday, January 20 | UMMS Spirit Day Wear your Maryland flag colors (red, gold, black and white) and celebrate being a part of something greater! Displays will be set up in the cafeterias at UM SMC at Chestertown, Dorchester and Easton, and UM SEC at Queenstown. Come out and see us, grab some UMMS goodies and submit your final entries for the “Part of Something Greater” quiz and the “Name That Leader” contest. |
