The Mid-Shore Nursing Assistant Advisory Council has announced that nominations are open for the Mid-Shore Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) of the Year Award! The award presentation will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2 to 3:30 p.m. in the Todd Performing Arts Center at Chesapeake College.
Guidelines
- Nominees must be a Maryland “CNA” or “CNA/GNA” and in good standing on the Maryland
Nursing Assistant Registry.
- Nominations will be reviewed by a selection committee. The recipient(s) will be chosen based upon criteria on a scale from O to 100 points accumulated from the rating scale and letter of reference.
- IMPORTANT: Save your nomination as a Word or Pdf document and names it with the nominee’s name in the following format: “FirstnameLastname2024.Facilityname”(for example, HelenSmith2024.UMSRH).
- UM Shore Regional Health will cover the new $20 fee for each entry. Email your completed nomination by Wednesday, August 14 to Jennifer Kaminskas, jkaminskas@umm.edu — she will forward all nominations and submit payment to Chesapeake College in time to meet the August 16 final deadline. For each nomination received, a voucher for 4 guests will be returned to the facility.
- Signatures are required. The Letter of Reference and the Rating Scale sections do not have to be
completed by the same person. Each document may also be signed by more than one person.
- Nomination Forms are being sent via email to “all SRH users” by Joanna Pierce — if you do not receive one, email her, joanna.pierce@umm.edu.
- Inform your nominee: Please inform your nominee so they can plan accordingly to attend.
