University of Maryland Shore Medical Group – Women’s Health recently welcomed Liliana Covey, WHNP, MSN (shown at right) to its Easton-based practice, located at 522 Idlewild Avenue.
Covey has more than 20 years of inpatient obstetrical experience and has been with UM Shore Regional Health since 2007, where she has worked as a registered nurse at the Birthing Center at UM SRH. She also has worked as a nurse in labor and delivery at Maryland General Hospital in Baltimore, where she received her obstetrical training, and as a travel labor and delivery nurse throughout the United States. Covey also was trained through Doulas of North America and as a doula, attended births for a volunteer program through Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
Covey obtained her Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner degree and her Master of Science in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from John’s Hopkins University School of Nursing. She is a member of the Chi Pi Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nursing, and the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health. She also participated in John’s Hopkin’s Hospital’s Clinical Leadership Program.
