UM Shore Regional Health celebrated Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation team members during Cardiac Rehab Week, which took place during the week of February 11-17. Cardiac rehabilitation involves exercise training, emotional support and education about a heart-healthy lifestyle, which can include eating a nutritious diet, managing weight and quitting smoking.
The program had a record total of 29,000-plus patient visits last year in three locations — UM Shore Medical Pavilion at Cambridge, and UM Shore Medical Centers at Chestertown and Easton.
