ADDICTIONS PREVENTION AND AWARENESS – TALBOT GOES PURPLE
Talbot Goes Purple – Month-long observance of the heroin/opioid and other substance abuse and overdose epidemic occurring both nationally and in Talbot County. BREAST CANCER SUPPORT
Transition to Wellness – Free workshops for breast cancer survivors and patients who are ending treatment.
Survivors Offering Support (SOS) – Free program pairing women who have breast cancer with mentors who are breast cancer survivors. If you need support or would like to become a mentor, call 410-822-1000, ext. 5866.
Look Good, Feel Better – Monday, 9/18, 10am-12pm, Cancer Center, Easton. Free ACS program for women with cancer includes hair, skin and make-up tips, samples and a visit to the wig room. Contact: 410-822-1000, ext. 5355.

CHILDBIRTH AND NEW PARENT EDUCATION
Preparing for Childbirth: Labor and Delivery, Saturday, 9/2, 9am -3:30pm, UM Shore Medical Center at Easton, Nick Rajacich Education Center. This free class for expectant parents and birthing partners teaches maternal reproductive health; signs, symptoms and stage of labor; pain management options; labor induction; relaxation techniques; Cesarean delivery; and postpartum care and recovery. Breastfeeding Class,  Saturday, 9/16, 9am – 12:30pmUM Shore Medical Center at Easton, Nick Rajacich Health Education Center. Lactation nurses from UM Shore Medical Center at Easton’s Birthing Center provide information and support techniques for breastfeeding and pumping, latch and positioning, overcoming challenges and maintaining milk supply.  To register: 410-822-1000, ext. 5200.

FOUNDATION EVENTS
UM Shore Regional Health Golf Tournament – Mon., 9/18, 11:30am, Talbot County Country Club. Tournament begins with a single shotgun start. Lunch, snacks and beverages will be served on the course. A reception and awards ceremony will follow the tournament, with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres served at the clubhouse. Team registration: $1,500, limited to 32 teams. Bridge Clinic Support Group – Every Tuesday, 6-7:30pm, UM SMC at Dorchester. Free, confidential support group meeting for individuals who have been hospitalized for behavioral health reasons and could benefit from assistance with issues after discharge.
