After many years of service, the chart retrieval robot at UM Shore Medical Center at Easton, fondly known as Hope, will no longer be rolling through the hallways. Clinical Information Management staff will now collect any paper that Hope used to deliver to CIM.
Hope began her journey as part of the team in food services, but shortly transitioned to the Clinical Information Management team for chart retrieval. As time has moved along, the need for chart retrieval has become less needed as numerous documents have gone electronic. CIM team members will now be making multiple rounds to collect paper from the appropriate floors at the medical center.
