UM Shore Regional Health Golf Tournament Set for September 18

University of Maryland Memorial Hospital Foundation has announced its 2017 Golf Tournament, scheduled for Monday, September 18, at the Talbot Country Club in Easton. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Birthing Center at UM Shore Medical Center at Easton.
“The birth of a child is one of the most joyous events in the life of a woman and her family. The Birthing Center located at UM Shore Medical Center at Easton is proud to serve parents from Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne’s and Talbot counties,” says Luanne Satchell, nurse manager of Women’s and Children’s Health Services. “We provide a host of services, resources and educational programs, as well as the most comfortable birthing experience for mother and baby in our newly renovated Center. We also want to thank our many donors and UM Memorial Hospital Foundation for their support in helping make our Center a special place.”
This year’s UM Shore Regional Health Golf Tournament will begin at 11:30 a.m. with a single shotgun start. Lunch, snacks and beverages will be served on the course. Following the tournament, there will be a reception and awards ceremony along with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres served at the clubhouse. Team registration is $1,500 and limited to 32 teams.
“Sponsorships are important to the UM Shore Regional Health Golf Tournament. They offer the opportunity for your organization to support our mission and help purchase needed equipment for the Birthing Center at UM Shore Medical Center at Easton,” says F. Graham Lee, vice president for philanthropy. “If you can’t play golf, we encourage you to consider a $500, $1,000, $2,500 or $5,000 sponsorship. It’s an investment in the future of our community.”
“Shore Regional Health Auxiliary at Easton volunteers are glad to be a sponsor of the 2017 Golf Tournament,” says Art Cecil, president of UM SRH Auxiliary of Easton. “All donations we provide come from sales at The Bazaar at 121 Federal Street, Maggie’s Gift Shop in the hospital and from many fundraisers throughout the years. The Auxiliary’s volunteers are dedicated to making a difference in patient care.”
