Robin Hood Shop Offers “Tea and Fashion” Event on May 8

The Auxiliary of Dorchester General Hospital’ Robin Hood Shop has announced a special event, open to the public, to help locals celebrate spring and start thinking about “what to wear” in the warmer weather expected in the coming months.

According to Cathy Gullion, Shop manager, the event, set for 12:15, Tuesday, May 8 at the Cambridge Women’s Club at 417 High Street in Cambridge, includes a fashion show with light fare offerings, including tea and other beverages, finger sandwiches and cookies. On the runway will be local volunteers, modeling casual and formal outfits for both spring and summer.

“We also will be giving out door prizes and awarding raffles, and we will have some items on sale during the event,” says Gullion. “We want our Auxiliary members and all our customers to come out and enjoy the show while helping the Auxiliary as we support patient care in our community.”

Tickets for the event are $5 per person and are on sale now through Friday, May 5, at The Robin Hood Shop, 416 High Street, Cambridge, and at the hospital gift shop.
