Robin Hood Shop Hosts “Tea and Fashion” Event

The Robin Hood Shop recently held a special “Tea and Fashion” event following the Dorchester General Hospital Auxiliary’s general membership meeting and luncheon. More than 70 community members and volunteers attended the event, during which shop volunteers modeled spring fashions that can be found at Robin Hood, including clothing and accessories such as jewelry, hats, shoes and handbags.

Diane McCarthy, president of the Dorchester General Hospital Auxiliary, showcases an outfit during the fashion event.

“The Auxiliary did a wonderful job on this event,” says Ida Jane Baker, Auxiliary past-president and president of the Dorchester General Hospital Foundation. “The room was so beautifully decorated and there was a very nice selection of teas and ‘light fare’ treats. They had a full house and everyone was enjoying the fashion show and the sale of various specialty items, the raffles and so forth. It was a true celebration of the Robin Hood Shop and all the activities our Auxiliary members undertake to support health care in Dorchester County.”

Volunteers Daly Cruz and Miguel Moran showcased wedding attire at the fashion event.

The shop, operated by the Auxiliary, offers gently used clothing, accessories and household items. Shop hours are Monday through Friday from 9am to 4pm, and Saturdays from 10am to 2pm.
