Kent County resident Gladys Peeples is the newest addition to the administrative staff of UM Shore Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Stu Seitz, Center director has announced.
Peeples came on board July 11 as director of admissions at the 98-bed facility after several years working in customer service for USA Fulfillment. After a month of intensive training, she is excited to be taking on this new role and to be part of the Center’s administrative team.
“I am happy to have such a meaningful job, helping patients transition from acute care to rehab and welcoming our long-term care and respite care patients,” Peeples says. “Being in admissions, I keep in mind that I am the first face our patients and their family members see and I am very proud to represent the Center out in the community as well.”
Peeples is a familiar face in Kent County as an active participant in Hope Fellowship’s community outreach programs and a former volunteer at Kent County Humane. She and her husband, Don, came to Chestertown from Arnold, Md., in 2008, and are looking forward to moving to Kennedyville, Md., in the near future.
