Mental Health First Aid Classes Announced

Register for fall Mental Health First Aid® classes 
Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour national certification course that teaches the layperson the skills to recognize the signs of a mental health or substance use disorder crisis, identify community resources and link individuals in need of treatment and support to the proper resources.

Join the other 20,000 Marylanders who have been trained in the state. Mental Health First Aid Maryland is currently offering instructor trainings as well as 8-hour courses this fall.

Upcoming  Courses (10 a.m. – 3 p.m. each day):
Youth 8-Hour Course — Thursday, October 6 and Friday, October 7
Core 8-Hour Course — Wednesday, November 2 and Thursday, November 3

Upcoming 5-Day Instructor Training (9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. each day)
Youth Instructor Course* —  New Date: Monday, October 24 through Friday, October 28
Core (Adult) Instructor Course — Monday, November 14 through Friday, November 18

*Priority will be given to Project Aware school districts for this training. Please note, persons trained under the Project Aware grant cannot charge a fee to train youth-serving adults to be First Aiders.
