  • Robin Hood Shop – 61st Birthday Celebration to include Hula Hoop Contest – Contest will begin at 11 a.m. Contestants will be grouped by age and prizes will be offered. Contests will be open to all but preregistration is required; Registration forms will be available at the Robin Hood Shop beginning March 1st. This event will be fun for all.
  • Safe Sitter, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. UM Shore Medical Center at Chestertown, Education Center. Teaches youth life and safety skills for when they are home alone, watching younger siblings or babysitting. $45 per person (note: some scholarships are available); includes a workbook and backpack. Advancing Cardiac Care at Shore Regional Health:Primary and Elective Angioplasty – 5:30 p.m. Knoxie’s Table, Stevensville, Md, 5:30 p.m. Conducted by University of Maryland Community Medical Group cardiologist Jeffery Etherton MD, this seminar is designed for registered nurses who are looking to take their critical care practice to the next level. Registered nurses who attend the event are eligible to earn one contact hour credit. Team members who attend the seminar and successfully refer friends, colleagues or family to the event who subsequently become employed by UM SRH are eligible for rewards through the “It Pays to Know Good People” program offered by Human Resources. BEHAVIORALHEALTH /PSYCHOSOCIAL SUPPORT

  • Bridge Clinic Support Group – Every Tuesday, 6-7:30pm, UM Shore Medical Center at Dorchester. Free, confidential support group meeting for individuals who have been hospitalized for behavioral health reasons and could benefit from assistance with issues after discharge. Varied topics based on participants’ needs. Each participant may bring one family member. Info: 410-228-5511, ext. 2140.

CANCER

  • Survivors Offering Support (SOS) – Free program pairing women who have breast cancer with mentors who are breast cancer survivors. If you need support or would like to become a mentor, call 410-822-1000, ext. 5866.
  • Breast Cancer Support Group – Tuesday, 3/27, 6-7:30pm, Cancer Center, Easton. Information and support for patients at any stage – diagnosis, treatment, recovery and survivorship. Info: 410-822-6800.
