In Search of Quietness Beliefs: Contest Open to All UM SRH Team Members

Now that QUIETNESS is in full swing at UM Shore Regional Health, the Patient Experience team invites you to have a little fun while reinforcing our Quietness Beliefs.
But first, you have to find the Beliefs! All eight of them are “hiding in plain sight” in various locations throughout the following UM Shore Regional Health facilities:

  • UM Shore Medical Centers at Chestertown, Dorchester and Easton
  • UM Shore Emergency Center at Queenstown
  • UM Shore Medical Pavilions at Chestertown (Philosopher’s Terrace) and Easton (490 and 500 Cadmus Lane)
  • UM Shore Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at Chestertown
  • UM Shore Rehabilitation Center at Cambridge/The Balance Center
  • The Diagnostic and Imaging Center/Clark Comprehensive Breast Center
  • The Ambulatory Surgery Center
  • Community Wide Scheduling/Patient Financial Services

Once you have located all eight beliefs, go to this link to complete the survey:

In addition to the fun, participants will be entered in a drawing to win one of five gift cards! Start looking now – the contest runs March 31 through April 15 and the lucky winners will be announced in the April 21 Compass.
Need a hint to know exactly what you are looking for? UM Shore Regional Health’s Quietness Beliefs are as follows:
We respect every patient’s need for quiet in all spaces, at all times of the day and in all care interactions.
Every patient gets a restful night’s sleep when his or her condition allows.
We communicate our goal for a quiet, healing environment to every patient, family and visitor.
We work together to identify and eliminate sources of noise.
We support each team member in becoming better skilled in quiet, healing behavior.
We focus on and support reduction of noise in team member work areas.
We hold ourselves and one another accountable for quiet standards. We actively seek best practices for quietness.
