Annual Education (April 1 – June 30, 2018)

All team members of Shore Regional Health (SRH), contract employees and special groups are mandated to complete the Annual Education Update within each calendar year in order to maintain competence.
Training will be offered this year through UMMS U, our Learning management System.  This system replace Healthstream so the login and access processes have changed.
A few reminders about UMMS U:

  • Access UMMS U directly through HR Connections. Once you login through HR Connections, simply click on UMMS U in the Quick Links section (no additional login info is required).
  • If you do not remember your HR Connections login, now is the time to call the help desk to get it reset (Dial HELP x4357)

PAL Cash In Opportunity

What is the PAL Cash-In Opportunity?
The PAL Cash-In Opportunity is offered to benefit-eligible hourly team members who would like to cash in a certain amount of accrued Paid Annual Leave (PAL).
When will the PAL Cash-In Opportunity Be Offered?
We have decided to offer the PAL Cash-In Opportunity periodically.  We will offer the Cash-In Opportunity Pay Out in April 2018.  The program will be evaluated for continuation after April 2018.
Who is eligible for the PAL Cash-In Opportunity?
Benefit-Eligible hourly team members are eligible to participate in the Cash-In Opportunity.
What are the PAL Cash-In Opportunity Rules and Procedures?

  1. Benefit-eligible hourly team members may cash in up to 40 hours of accrued PAL during the opportunity period.
  2. As the result of the cash-in, a team member’s accrued PAL will not be permitted to drop below 80 hours.
  3. Team members must follow the announced procedures during the cash-in period; no off-cycle cash-ins will be permitted.
  4. Cash-ins are calculated according to the team member’s regular base hourly rate and do not include any differentials of other amounts.
  5. All cash-ins will be subject to normal deductions and taxes.
