Final Days for Open Enrollment for Benefits

Enrollment continues through May 22, 2018.

  • This year EVERYBODY must enroll, even if you’re not making any changes to your health, vision, or dental plans.  Flexible spending and HSA requires re-enrollment every year.  (“Everyone” includes supplemental staff because they are eligible for the individual Bronze Plan for health insurance.)
  • You will not have insurance coverage on July 1, 2018 if you do not enroll!  Required dependent documentation must be submitted by June 15, 2018 or your dependents will not be covered.  This is very important!!
  • Additional “help sessions” will be offered for team members who would like to have assistance enrolling for their UM SRH benefits.The new sessions are scheduled as below:

Annual Education – Closes on July 1, 2018

The Annual education window is open in UMMS U.  Access your education through HR Connections.  No extra password needed since you are logging in through a secure access point.

Once on the HR Connections page, look for the UMMS U link in the center of the page.  There are demos there to help you navigate, as well as the “My Training” tab to get you started on your journey to complete your required annual education.

The window closes on July 1, 2018.  All staff must complete the mandatory education requirements by the deadline!  If you have problems or questions, contact Kathy Freund at ext. 5936.

Employee Health Annual Requirements Due in June

The following departments are required to complete their Employee Health requirements:

  • Cambridge – 2-East & ICU
  • Chestertown – Acute Care & ICU
  • Easton – 2East, 3East, Joint Center, Neuro, Telemetry & ICU

The requirements include:  Respiratory mask fit, TB questionnaire & TDAP updating

PLEASE NOTE: There are still some team members that are due in the month of May from other departments.  If unsure, contact Employee Health at  ext. 5549 for guidance.

 If not completed during the allotted month, you will be taken off of the schedule at the end of the month until the requirements have been satisfied.
