Ground Broken at Future Location of UM Shore Medical Pavilion at Denton

University of Maryland Shore Regional Health recently celebrated the ground breaking of its newest medical office building, UM Shore Medical Pavilion at Denton, which will be located at the corner of Blades Farm Road and Deep Shore Road, directly off of Route 404 in Denton.
The Pavilion will be the home to a number of primary care and specialty providers including Kim Herman, MD, and Wafik Zaki, MD, of UM Community Medical Group – Primary Care. Other outpatient services based at UM Shore Medical Pavilion at Denton will include:

  • Shore Regional Health Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services, which will be relocating from their current space on Market Street to offer various modalities of therapy;
  • Laboratory and imaging services, which Shore Regional Health has offered in Denton for quite some time, in the space adjacent to the current primary care location;
  • And a multi-specialty suite, much like those in UM Shore Medical Pavilions at Chestertown, Dorchester and Queenstown, where various medical specialists can provide office hours, making those consultations more convenient for Caroline County residents.

UM Shore Medical Pavilion at Denton is expected to be open to patients within the next 18 months.

Shown breaking ground at the site of UM Shore Medical Pavilion at Denton are Dr. Wafik Zaki; John Dillon, chairman, UM Shore Regional Health Board of Directors; Ken Kozel, president and CEO, UM Shore Regional Health; Dr. Kim Herman; Robert Frank, senior director, Operations, UM Shore Regional Health; Commissioner Larry Porter; Commissioner Wilbur Levengood; Denton Mayor Abigail McNinch; and Commissioner Dan Franklin.
