On behalf of our fellow volunteers, we need your help in maintaining our local hospital volunteer auxiliaries – Chester River Hospital Center Auxiliary, Dorchester General Hospital Auxiliary and the Auxiliary of Memorial Hospital at Easton.
We are asking each UM Shore Regional Health team member to offer the name and contact information of any person they know who might be interested in joining one of our organizations. As a special incentive we are offering a $50 gift card to all those who provide us with the name of a person who becomes an active volunteer by being scheduled for a volunteer service with the Chestertown, Dorchester or Easton Auxiliary.
For decades, these volunteer organizations have made important contributions to the inpatient and outpatient medical facilities throughout the region by raising funds and assisting with daily operations at various sites. Many of our active volunteers have served the auxiliaries for a great number of years. Unfortunately the number of active volunteers in each of our auxiliaries has been declining, leading us to seek ways to attract new members.
Volunteering to benefit our local hospitals can be an extremely rewarding experience. Not only does volunteering for a hospital auxiliary contribute to the betterment of our local communities and the quality health care available to us and our family members, friends and neighbors; it also enables members to meet new people and explore new talents and interests.
Volunteer positions are currently available at each hospital, a number of outpatient locations, at our hospital gift shops and all three of our auxiliary-managed thrift shops – the Nearly New Shop in Chestertown, the Robin Hood Shop in Cambridge and The Bazaar at 121 Federal Street in Easton.
Please help us in this effort to sustain and grow our hospital auxiliaries so that we may continue to support the health care programs and services that are so very important to the communities served by UM Shore Regional Health.
