GAIT Training Set at UM SMC at Easton on March 20, 2018

UM SRH and the Shore Regional Palliative Care Program will host the Eastern Shore AHEC – Geriatric Assessment Interdisciplinary Team (GAIT) Training  on March 20, 2018.
The Geriatric Assessment Interdisciplinary Team, or GAIT, is an interdisciplinary geriatrics training program for students in the University of Maryland System and is funded by a University System of Maryland Redeployment Grant to the Geriatrics and Gerontology Education and Research (GGEAR) program at University of Maryland Baltimore. Interdisciplinary student teams work with older adults at rural geriatric care sites, prepare a team assessment regarding those adults, and discuss the assessment with the host site staff.
The students’ post-training presentation will take place at UM Shore Medical Center at Easton’s Health Education Center, Room C-D, 4-5 p.m. Anyone interested in attending the students’ presentation is welcome!
