Free Seminar on Wills and Understanding the Probate Process Set for June 18 in Centreville

University of Maryland Memorial Hospital Foundation will host an informative seminar, “Workshop on Wills and Understanding the Probate Process” on Monday, June 18, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Queen Anne’s County Library, 121 S Commerce St, in Centreville.

Conducted by well-known local attorneys Patrick J. Fitzgerald, Esq. of Charles T. Capute LLC., and JoRhea Nagel Wright, Esq., of Armistead, Lee, Rust & Wright, P.A., they will discuss several topics, including:

  • Why should I have a will? What happens if I die without a will?
  • Will estate taxes take a major bite out of what I want to leave my family?
  • Do I still need a will if my assets are held jointly with my spouse?
  • How do I coordinate my will and my bene­ficiary designations with my overall estate plan?
  • What is the purpose of the Register of Wills? What are the costs?
