Flo Beasley Wins 2018 Mid Shore CNA of the Year Award

The Mid Shore Nursing Assistant Advisory Council named Flo Beasley was named 2018 Mid Shore Certified Nursing Assistant of the Year at the Council’s annual award ceremony and celebration,, held Friday, April 13, at the Todd Performing Arts Center at Chesapeake College.

A certified nursing assistant for 20 years, Beasley works on 2 East Multi Specialty Care at UM Shore Medical Center at Easton, Nominated by Alyssa Baker, RN, Beasley  was selected to win this year’s MSNAAC award based on her outstanding work ethic, leadership skills, professionalism, compassion, teamwork and her dedication to health care.

Beasley is the fourth UM Shore Regional Health CNA to be chosen as winner in the MSNAAC award program’s seven year history. According to UM SRH Nursing Support Specialist Sherry Councell, who serves on the Council, for this year’s award, Beasley was one of 18 nominees from eight different organizations (including home care, assisted living, skilled nursing, etc). UM SRH team members accounted for a total of eight candidates for this year’s award, Flo Beasley and Stephanie Beasley, Joycetine Brown, Carnishia Diaz, Sandra Elliott, Erin Jones, Ashley Macer and Beverly Shaffer.
