Diagnostic and Imaging Center Construction Project Nearing End

Team-StrengthconstructionConstruction at the Diagnostic and Imaging Center – a project which began in February 2015 – is expected to conclude over the next several weeks. As the project enters its final stages, please be advised of the following:

  • Employee Parking: The entry to the designated employee parking area is through the Cancer Center entrance off of Idlewild Ave.  The bollard posts, which once blocked that area off, have been removed.  Employees can no longer access the employee parking area from Martin Court. As a reminder, the Visitor Parking area is NOT to be used by employees.
  • Within the designated employee parking area are 6 parking spaces reserved for patients visiting Dr. Mary DeShields, in her office adjacent to the Cancer Center; 3 spaces are on the right and 3 spaces are on the left closest to the Cancer Center.  Employees are NOT permitted to park in these reserved spaces.
  • Several spaces within the employee parking area are marked as handicap spaces.  These are NOT handicap spaces.  The signs on posts have been removed.  Employees are permitted to park in these spaces.
  • DIC Closure:  The Diagnostic and Imaging Center will close at 12 noon on Friday, April 29. During that time the Fire Marshall will be onsite to inspect the newly constructed areas, which is necessary to obtain a Certificate of Occupancy.
  • Valet Parking: Valet Parking at the Diagnostic and Imaging Center is no longer available. However, one valet employee will remain posted at the Center’s temporary main entrance until the new main entrance is operational.  This person will assist patients entering and leaving the building from 7:30am to 4:00pm.

A special thanks to the team members and volunteers at the Diagnostic and Imaging Center, as well as the patients served at this location, for their patience and cooperation during construction. The Team’s commitment to provide our patients with high quality care and customer service during this process is much appreciated.
