National Hospital Week, established by the American Hospital Association, celebrates hospitals, health systems, and the women and men who support the health and well-being of their communities through dedication and care from the heart. This year’s theme for the week is “Caring is our calling,”
Celebrating National Hospital Week provides an opportunity to thank all of the dedicated individuals – physicians, nurses, therapists, engineers, food service workers, volunteers, administrators and so many more – for their contributions.
The chart below provides a schedule of events and opportunities for all UM Shore Regional Health team members to choose from in celebration of the work we do for our patients, their families and the overall quality of life in the five-county region we serve.
We are very excited about the #SRHproud Team Member Video Campaign. How can you participate?
- FIrst, record a short video (up to 45 seconds in length) about why “Caring is Your Calling” and/or why you are proud to work for UM Shore Regional Health. (PLEASE REMEMBER: Any any videos/posts must comply with UMMS Social Media Policy [LD-80].)
- Second, between May 6 and May 12, post your video to your Facebook, Twitter or Instagram account/s with the hashtag #SRHproud. Communications & Marketing staff will track submissions through this hashtag.
- Third, what’s in it for you? A chance to share your enthusiasm for helping UM SRH be the region’s leader for patient-centered care AND to win one of three gift baskets! (Winners will be chosen at random and announced in the May 18 Compass.)
BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE ….
If you want a chance to win a prize but are not inclined to shoot a video, try one or both of the paper quiz contests described in the above list (see May 9 and May 10). Six quiz entries three for each quiz) with all correct answers from will be randomly drawn to win gift baskets.
We also hope that on on Spirit Day (see Tuesday, May 8), everyone will wear UMMS colors and show our team spirit, and that we will receive team pictures from that day for publication in Compass.
As you can see, there also are several educational opportunities offered during Hospital Week and you are encouraged to attend those that suit your schedule and your interests.
