REMINDER: Temporary Changes to Food Services Department at UM SMC at Chestertown

Team-Strength

The Food Services department – including the kitchen and cafeteria – at UM Shore Medical Center at Chestertown will be undergoing construction beginning the first week of October.

During the project, which is expected to be completed in six weeks, a kitchen trailer will be onsite for the preparation of hot and cold foods for patients, visitors, team members and volunteers of the Medical Center. The cafeteria will remain open for breakfast and lunch, however, there will be a limited menu and all meals will be served on disposable dishes.

There will be a designated area within the hospital used for the staging of patient meals. Keith Gould, regional director of Food Services, UM Shore Regional Health, will be working with team members at UM Shore Medical Center at Chestertown over the next several weeks to provide education about meal preparation, staging and delivery during this process to ensure that there will be no disruption of meal service to patients and those frequenting the cafeteria.

Thank you in advance for your patience as we work to make these improvements!

Your Voice CountsIn an effort to achieve a higher level of customer satisfaction, Aramark – the company that manages the Food Services departments at UM Shore Regional Health – has been encouraging employees to participate in the “Your Voice Counts” program.

Your Voice Counts” enables consumers to offer feedback on food quality in the cafeterias at UM Shore Medical Centers at Chestertown, Dorchester and Easton. The customer satisfaction survey can be completed online or by using a mobile device and takes very little time to complete. If accessing from your workstation, go to the link labeled “Your Dining Voice” in the Favorites shortcut on your desktop to participate in the survey. It is also available on Wavelength – UM Shore Regional Health’s Intranet – in the Hospital Cafeterias section, http://intra.umms.org/shore/departments/food/hospital-cafeterias.

Survey participants have the option of taking a short, four-question survey or a slightly longer survey, containing just a few additional questions. Everyone who completes the longer survey and provides their contact information will be entered to win a $500 Visa® Gift Card.

Satisfaction surveys will be used to identify and solve customer issues faster and to improve the food quality and overall customer experience in the cafeterias.

Information about the “Your Voice Counts” program is displayed in each of the cafeterias throughout UM Shore Regional Health. Please take a moment to provide your feedback as your satisfaction with the meal options and the dining experience is important to us!

For additional information about the “Your Voice Counts” program, contact Keith Gould at (410) 822-1000, Extension 5620.
