Retired local businessman Robert A. Pascal has donated an important new piece of equipment to the UM Shore Regional Health Center for Cardio-Pulmonary Rehabilitation at UM Shore Medical Center at Easton.
The Nustep T5XR Recumbent Cross Trainer is designed for ease of use by wheelchair-bound users and provides a quality substitute for patients unable to use a treadmill, with the ability to accommodate user weights up to 600 pounds.
“Mr. Pascal’s generosity allows the Center to provide more patients with a full-body, low-impact cardiovascular workout,” says Sally Worm, Program Manager, Cardio-Pulmonary Fitness and Wellness.
UM Shore Regional Health’s Centers for Cardio-Pulmonary Fitness & Wellness, located at UM Shore Medical Centers at Chestertown, Dorchester and Easton, provide a safe and supervised setting for cardiac rehabilitation and pulmonary rehabilitation.
