Cardiovascular Professionals Week 2018: “Caring Hearts, Healing Hearts”

The dedicated professionals who work in cardiac care teams keep loving hearts healthy.
The Alliance of Cardiovascular Professionals (ACP) declared February 11-16 to be Cardiovascular Professionals Week, with the theme, “Caring Hearts, Healing Hearts.”
According to the ACP website, “Cardiac care is the ‘heart’ of innovation, change happens fast. Nowhere else in healthcare does care change so quickly—nowhere else does the ‘best care, best way’ target move so fast… it seems like cardiovascular professionals learn something new every day.”

At UM SRH, Cardiovascular Professional’s Week was celebrated several ways.  The week was kicked off with “minute to win it” games during lunch on Monday.  On Tuesday, Kelli Remo taught a yoga session.  Wednesday, Glenda Cornish, a telemonitor tech at UM SMC at Dorchester, volunteered her time to give massages to the staff. The Thursday highlight was a presentation on nutrition by Katie Ewers, associate manager, Nutrition Services.  The team also placed puzzle contests in the Easton cafeteria.
