The Cancer Center at University of Maryland Shore Regional Health recently celebrated National Cancer Survivors Day® with an event held at the Easton Volunteer Fire Department, honoring cancer survivors throughout the region. National Cancer Survivors Day® is observed annually in June to celebrate those who have recovered from and survived a cancer diagnosis. Sixty cancer survivors and their guests attended the annual event.
Participants in the festivities – which were themed “Survivorship is a BIG Deal” – enjoyed food and entertainment and had the opportunity to win a variety of prizes donated by local merchants.
