Adult/Adolescent Forensic Nurse Examiner Training Course Scheduled for September 11-15

The Adult/Adolescent Forensic Nurse Examine Training Course is planned for September 11 -15, 2017, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p. m., UM Shore Medical Center at Easton, Classroom 1.
According to Karen Denny, forensic nurse examiner and coordinator/SART coordinator, this is a structured 40- hour program that trains the experienced RN to perform forensic examinations on patients age 13 years and older. In addition to this didactic portion are 40-plus hours that must be completed outside of the classroom in order to submit for the Maryland FNE-A certification with the Maryland Board of Nursing. Participants must attend all five days for completion of didactic portion; class size is limited.
The cost is $350 for course and materials, which includes:

  • Snacks throughout each day of training
  • Binder and paper
  • Atlas of Sexual Violence
  • 40 CEUs
