The following reports from patients and family members reaffirm our staff’s commitment
to putting our patients’ needs first. Please take a minute to say THANKS!

“Dr. Eric Klotz treated me for diverticulitis [at UM Shore Medical Center at Easton] Express Care on August 27, 2016 in such an outstanding manner that I wish to send my compliments to him and the hospital. I’ve been treated for diverticulitis several times over the years but never with such thoroughness, thoughtfulness and kindness.  (And I’m quite experienced in visits to emergency and express care.) His attention to detail and his willingness to give excellent descriptions of what he was doing were very reassuring. If he were in general practice, I would become his patient.
“Dr.  Dabanjan Bandyopadhyay visited me to assess my condition as he was on his way to surgery. He explained why his services might be needed if I were admitted. His explanations were wonderfully detailed and gave me confidence in how my case would be handled if surgery were required, which it was not. The hospital can be proud of him too.”

From Melanie Chapple, Pharmacy:  “A recent patient at UM Shore Medical Center at Easton owns an assisted living facility in Queen Anne’s County. Her daughter found her mother’s stay and care at UM SMC at Easton so positive that from now on, when any of their assisted living residents need emergency care or hospital services, she is going to have them sent to Easton. (Apparently, her patients have typically been sent to to Anne Arundel Medical Center.) The daughter also had a lot of positive things to say about our respiratory department and pulmonology group.”

“I was not awake when admitted.  I feel very blessed that Dr. Peter Niebyl came to see me and recognized that I had a life threatening infection, and I believe he saved my life!”

Nurse Midwife Rebecca Ailstock was 100% incredible. I’d  never met her prior to my  labor but I would have her again.  She got me through 24+ hours of labor and delivery and was truly an angel.

My nurses on the second floor of UM Shore Medical Center at Dorchester — Amy, Jane and Shelly — were outstanding.

The ER doctor [at UM Shore Medical Center at Chestertown] identified my problem quickly and started treatment.  The cardiologist, Dr. Panas, and the physician’s assistant spent a lot of time with me and were very informative.
