Above & Beyond: March Team Members of the Month Announced

 

Congratulations to our March 2018 Team Members of the Month!  They are:

  • Thomas Gray, Sr., Security, UM Shore Medical Center at Dorchester, SERVICE:  for his “above and beyond” actions to protect a toddler from an altercation
  • Robert Hazeltine, Behavioral Health, UM Shore Medical Center at Dorchester, EXCELLENCE: for his quick response and actions while assisting with the Code Red/Fire at Dorchester on 3/24/18, during which he displayed the qualities associated with being a team player and a commitment to the safety of our patients, guests, and staff members; working diligently every day to keep the environment safe; and for his professional, consistent and polished demeanor.

ABOUT THE TEAM MEMBER OF THE MONTH PROGRAM:

Each month, the HEART Recognition and Rewards celebrates two individuals as Team Members of the Month.

Winners are selected from the Manager to Team Member wall of the Recognition and Rewards site (http://umshr.isrewards.com) based on comments submitted by managers and leaders that reflect “Above and Beyond” behaviors as well as commitment to one of the UM SRH Values: RESPECT, INTEGRITY, TEAMWORK, EXCELLENCE and SERVICE.

Those honored as Team Member of the Month receive points in their Reward accounts as well as recognition in Compass and on social media.

UPCOMING CHANGES – CELEBRATE WITH HEART RECOGNITION AND REWARDS PROGRAM:

UMMS is adopting a system-wide, points-based reward and recognition program. There will be a new login page that all employees will use to access your rewards and recognition site.

Information about the update:

  • The change is only to the login page, the programs themselves will remain the same.
  • Once employees login to this new page, it will automatically take them to their respective program page (your current login page).
  • Your reward and recognition program names will all remain the same.
  • Employees will now be able to reward and be rewarded by employees at other UMMS locations.
  • The program leads (copied here) have an email to be sent to inform employees.
  • Next week, I will send out individualized flyers created by Incentive Services – our System vendor on this project — and an Intranet page for you to use as you wish at your location.

Important dates:

  • There will be a System downtime in your rewards program – when you page will not be accessible — from April 16-May 7
  • On May 7, during hospital week, the new login page will launch
  • On May 7, employees will receive an automated email from Incentive Services with login instructions
