Above & Beyond

The following reports from patients and family members reaffirm our staff’s commitment
to putting our patients’ needs first. Please take a minute to say THANKS!

I  just completed my fourth stay at UM Shore Medical Center in Easton over about a 12 year period. During every stay I have been  well cared for but this time was the best. I want to thank everyone on the 4th floor neuro unit who cared for me: the nurses – especially Bridget and Mary, I ran them ragged! – and aides, respiratory therapists, Dr. Kumar (and the other doctor whose name I do not recall), and the food services and housekeeping people. Everyone was pleasant and concerned, they told me their names and smiled and always asked me what else they could do or did I need anything. The food also was very good, especially the chicken noodle soup!

My thanks to the crew at the Cancer Center. Cancer treatment can be stressful. I have never felt that here and I have enjoyed the unique camaraderie that exists between all the staff, from the receptionists, volunteers, doctors, nurses to the radiation gang: Your kindness is appreciated.

Exemplary – very positive always felt cared for during my stay in acute care at UM Shore Medical Center at Chestertown. Every shift was so kind & caring. I felt like I really mattered to them all; nurses, techs, doctors, cleaning personnel, those that served food. They all went above & beyond to take care of my every need & I want them to know that.

In the Behavioral Health unit at UM Shore Medical Center at Dorchester, Raynette, Leslie, Susan, Susanne, Charmeka, Dawn, Sherry, Deb, Debra and Brianna – and maybe others – made my stay so much better than expected, and I thank them.
