“I wanted to pass along my sincere and heartfelt appreciation for the pulmonary rehabilitation care I received at the Cardio-Pulmonary Fitness Center. Sally Worm, Tracy Supcoe, and Matthew Roberts were attentive, helpful, and most professional at all times.
“The following anecdote involving Tracy Supcoe is a good example of going the extra step in my healthcare. Nurse Supcoe handled my exit interview and final check of vital signs on my last day in the rehab program. She noticed a possible abnormality when listening to my lungs and told me to bring it up with my transplant team I was scheduled to meet in Baltimore two days from this date. Later that day Tracy called me to say that she had called the transplant team and told them about the suspect abnormality. They thanked her and said that they would check it out at my upcoming appointment. I was impressed that she had taken the initiative to call the team because of her concern, and then had called me to explain what she had done, effectively closing the loop.”
“My husband fell off a ladder at home 2 weeks ago and we paid the ER in Chestertown a visit. The service he received was again as I received when I was a patient, absolutely outstanding. Everyone up to and including the physician, Dr. Donahue treated him with utmost respect and genuine concern.
“His wrist was broken in 4 places per Dr. Ghosh. When we arrived for pre-op, we again were treated perfectly by both physicians and nurses. I was greeted by the OR supervisor whom I did not know, she introduced herself and was so pleasant it made me feel much more at ease with the whole situation. Lastly, ending up in PACU, I again cannot say how nice and pleasant everyone was.
“This whole experience, however painful for him, was overshadowed by the care, concern and treatment he received by every single nurse and physician that interacted with us both. Please be proud of all your nurses and convey our sincere appreciation to everyone for the service they provided us.
“I am proud to be a part of this hospital.”
